Repeat Prescriptionsblue_yellow_pills

Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:

  • By Hand – drop your repeat slip in at Reception with the required items clearly marked.
  • By Post – send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
  • Online – follow the link at the top of this page and carry out a simple registration in order to use our handy request form that will remember your details, medications etc. for future. Please DO NOT attempt to email requests directly to any email address that you may have used in the past.  For security and safety reasons, all of our old mailboxes have been TURNED OFF, PERMANENTLY.  The secure, encrypted, on-line form is now the ONLY means of e-communication that we will accept.

A number of local pharmacies will happily collect your repeat prescriptions from the surgery, meaning that you can simply collect your medication directly from the pharmacy.

Please note that if you want to use this service, you must first arrange it with the pharmacy concerned, so they have your consent to collect your prescriptions.  You must also inform the surgery so that we can release it to that pharmacy for collection, otherwise the prescription will remain at reception for your personal collection.

NOTE: If you decide to change the pharmacy that usually collects your prescriptions, either temporarily or permanently, you must ensure you have carried out both of the above steps again, or your prescription will not end up where you wanted it to be!

We are unable to accept prescription requests by telephone.

We receive a high volume of phonecalls to check on the progress of non-urgent prescriptions that have been requested at the last minute.  This significantly hinders the ability of our reception staff to carry out their duties effectively, so whenever possible, please plan ahead and.....

please allow two full working days between requesting and collecting your medication.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.
